Mike Rhine
Mike Rhine began his career in excavation in 1997 with one backhoe and his first bank loan. He grew that start into a large excavation company in Wise County, Texas, earning a reputation for getting difficult work done safely and efficiently.
In 2008, Mike returned to active duty with the United States Marine Corps, serving our country as a Sergeant Major responsible for more than 3,500 Marines. After retiring from the Marine Corps in 2018, Mike returned to the construction industry and restarted operations in 2021. Today, he leads teams in both Texas and the Virgin Islands.
Mike and his wife, Patti, have lived in the Virgin Islands since 2010 and now call it their full-time home. In 2020, Mike shifted his primary operational focus to the USVI and is now in active growth mode-investing in equipment, people, and capabilities to better serve the islands.
Elderfield Roberts - Virgin
Islands
Elderfield Roberts is a native Virgin Islander and a key partner in our USVI operations. Since 2017, he has worked in excavation and construction—including taking over and growing his family's business Elderfields extensive knowledge in all aspects of construction in the islands and his engineering background, make him invaluable in the islands.
Elderfield and Mike have been close friends for more than five years, bonded by a shared passion for excavation equipment and a commitment to high-standard practices. That relationship brings trust, alignment, and strong day-to-day leadership to projects in the Virgin Islands-ensuring consistent quality, safety, and performance from the field to the finished product.
Patti Rhine - Project Specialist
Patti Rhine - Project Specialist/Finance
Patti brings over 30 years of successful entrepreneurship, financial management, and operational leadership to RBS Construction & Excavation LLC dba Construction Services. Since 1997, she has built and managed successful business ventures, including retail, restaurant, and truck-stop operations. After selling her company in 2014, Patti shifted her focus to investment properties, mentoring small business owners, and helping build RBS Construction with her husband, Mike.
As Finance & Operations lead, Patti manages building bid packages,and the financial side of the business providing structure, discipline, and financial insight that support long-term growth. Her strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and business operations helps RBS build a financially strong and stable company. Her leadership and hands-on ownership experience strengthen daily operations, support the team, and contribute directly to the company's continued success.
